I received the following response this morning from WAND-TV's station manager, Tracey Cole:

Dear Mr. Leonard,

Thank you for contacting us. As you correctly summarized this has been a debacle for the NBC network. The Jay Leno show at 9pm CT while an innovative idea fell flat on its face. The local affiliates who depend on competitive network programming as a lead in to their late local news lost hundreds of millions dollars in revenue due to the poor ratings which in turn has lowered viewership for local affiliates and the Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien. Unfortunately NBC was faced with making a decision where there was no good outcome. We truly appreciate your viewership over the years and understand your frustration. Once the situation is finally resolved we do hope at some point you will return as a loyal viewer.
